Blocks
A private, local-first time budget for iPhone and Apple Watch. Choose an activity, start the timer, and give your time to what matters — one block at a time.
Free on the App Store
iPhone and Apple Watch. Requires iOS 26 and watchOS 26.
Activities are the building blocks of your life. Each timer session is a block of time devoted to one of them. Like a workout, you choose the activity and start whenever you are ready — without accounts, calendars, or cloud synchronization.
Plan the week you want, track the week you get, and see the difference.
Start a block in a tap. Blocks keeps counting while you use other apps, and pause, resume and stop are always one tap away.
Set one weekly benchmark for your discretionary time, then allocate it across categories in tactile 15-minute steps.
Charts across 7 days, 30 days, 90 days and a year — plus sleep, optional Screen Time scrolling insights, and CSV export.
Categories, activities, branches, favorites, archived activities and settings — with a distinct color for every activity.
Budget
Start from one number — your own estimate of the discretionary hours you actually get each week. Allocate them across categories, and Blocks calculates activity and branch goals underneath.
“Blocks compares this benchmark with the time you actually track. It never schedules anything for you.”
Timers
Blocks runs persistent, concurrent timers. One block is focused at a time, the rest keep running quietly, and paused time never counts toward a single total.
Insights
Swift Charts across 7 days, 30 days, 90 days and a year. Category allocation is drawn from the time you actually tracked, not from the plan you made on Sunday.
“Overlapping activities count once here, because this compares tracking against real hours in your week.”
A block you started on your wrist is the same block your Lock Screen is counting.
Browse activities and run timers offline on your wrist, with haptics and complications. Commands to iPhone are idempotent, so a lost tap never double-counts.
The focused block on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, with Pause, Resume and Stop built in — plus a privacy mode that hides the activity name.
Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets show the focused block and your weekly progress, with a Start or Stop button. A Control Center toggle restarts the last block you tracked.
Map workouts to your own activities and pull in sleep duration — with an Oura-preferred sleep source. Blocks reads. It never writes back, and nothing is uploaded.
Privacy
There is no account or automatic cloud sync. Your records stay on your device unless you make an export. Blocks sends anonymous counts — how many activities you keep, how often timers run — only if you opt in, so we can tell what to build next. It is off by default and can be changed any time in Settings.
“Blocks reads Apple Health and never writes to it, and it never uploads or synchronizes anything it reads. The only way Health data leaves this device is in an export you make yourself.”
Every option is high-chroma and no two activities share one, so a glance at a chart is enough to know whose hours those are. The three anchors are sampled from the app icon.
The free plan is not a trial. Every feature in Blocks is included — Unlimited only changes how many activities you can keep active at once.
$0
Everything, for up to five active activities.
$2.99 / month
Make room for everything that matters.
Auto-renews monthly until cancelled. Your Apple Account is charged after confirmation. You can cancel anytime in App Store subscription settings. $2.99 is the US price; the App Store shows the exact price in your storefront before you confirm.
If a subscription ends while you have more than five active activities, Blocks preserves all of your activities and history. It only stops you adding or restoring another.
No. There is no sign-up, no sign-in and no email address to hand over. Install Blocks and start a timer.
Your iPhone and Apple Watch talk to each other directly over WatchConnectivity, so a block started on your wrist appears on your phone. There is no cloud sync, so Blocks data does not move between two different iPhones on its own — an encrypted iCloud or Finder device backup carries it to a new phone.
Nothing is hidden or deleted. All of your activities and history stay exactly as they are. Blocks simply stops you adding or restoring another activity while more than five are active.
Yes. Blocks runs concurrent timers, with one focused block driving the Live Activity and widgets. Pausing excludes that span from every total, so overlapping work never inflates your week.
It reads workout and sleep durations so your tracked time can reflect what you were actually doing. That access is read-only — Blocks never writes to Health — and the results stay on your device unless you export them yourself. You can revoke it any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Health.
Yes. Timers, budgets, insights, Apple Watch and on-device data all work offline. StoreKit needs a connection for subscription purchases and verification; if you opt into anonymous analytics, reports wait locally and retry when a connection is available.
Not today. Blocks is built for iPhone and Apple Watch.
Delete individual activities and sessions in the app, or delete Blocks from your iPhone to remove its on-device database. If you opted into anonymous analytics, turn analytics off in Library › Settings first; that stops collection and asks our server to delete the record for the random install ID, retrying later if you are offline.
Blocks is on the App Store for iPhone and Apple Watch. It is free to download; Blocks Unlimited is $2.99 per month if you want more than five activities.
Free to download, with no account to create. Install it, start a block, and see where your week actually goes.
